Seeking info on Thomas Colbert, where born? Md. Elizabeth Whitton 1848 Coweta co., GA. My gr grandfather was born to this union in 1849, His name:Robert Anthony Colbert, served in Confed. army briefly as guard at Andersonville .The family lived briefly in Decaturco., GA. in 1860 Have found no other record of RA till 1878 when my grandfather, John Hall Colbert was born in Searcy Co., Ark. Children of Thomas Colbert by first wife:JohnT., Martha, Mariah, James,Benjamin F., Morgan L., Sarah. Believe there is Indian line somewhere, but can't find where. Any info on this branch of Colberts would be greatly appreciated.
