Any idea what part of Virginia your line of Colberts is from? My line is from "Old Virginia" which I believe to now be West Virginia. They lived on the Knockquan river according to my records but I can not find a river by that name.
I think that Ray and I may have some ties. My grandfather's mother was Alice Colbert, daughter of Ida Rebecca and Henry Colbert.
I am from Penn Hills, Oakmont, New Kensington, Plum area and my theory is that there is a connection between the Johnstown and Connseville-Dawson Colberts. I just have to prove it!
Any help would be appreciated!
