Folks---
Looking for info on gg-grandfather. Michael Gorman b. 1828 in Counry Waterford...emigrated to
US in 1844 with "widowed mother and 4 brothers and a sister." They entered the US through
NYC. Michael Gorman married Ellen Colbert (b. County Cork) in Iowa City in 1858.
This is basic info I have from a book published in the 1920's re: residents of Cedar County Iowa.
Does any of this match up with anyone else's Gorman info? If so, please e-mail nicgor@seanet.com.
I am particularly interested in pinpointing the town of birth for Michael Gorman and Ellen Colbert.
