Hi, I have recently started tracing my husband's family tree. I have it traced back to a Philip Colbert that I have located in the Atoka area of Ok. He married an Eliza around 1870. By that I figure him to be born around 1850. My husband alway's thought the family to be choctaw but after getting record's back from the choctaw nation it seem that Philip Colbert was 1/2 chickasaw. I am wondering if anyone out there that is reseaching the James Logan Colbert family has a Philip Colbert born around 1850 in their tree. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am trying to get this family tree put together to present to the family as a Christmas gift as his family really knows nothing about this side of family!!
Thanks,
Lisa
