Looking for information on Judith Colbert, who married my GG grandfather, William Thomas Dowell. I have no dates or places for either, but they resided in Iredell Co., NC. Family legend states that William Thomas traveled to SC on business and returned with a wife, Judith. Legend also states that she spoke with a strong accent which may have been French. Any information or pointers would be appreciated.
