Susan Perry or Susie Colbert, b Pontotoc Co, CIT, Ms; (daughter of James Colbert, b abt 1768, Natches Dist, Ms; d 1842, Doaksville, CIT, Ok). She m before 1794, in CIT, Ms,James or Jim Allen who d 1835, Toccopoloa CIT, Pontotoc Co, Ms. They had two daughters, Margaret or Peggy Allen and Mississippi Allen. Peggy, m Simon Burney, who d 1842, Ms. Their children were David Burney, b CIT, Ms; d aft 1843, m Lucy James, daughter of Davis James and Charlotte or Lotty Colbert. David Burney and Lucy had a son, Benjamin Crooks James, b 15 Jan 1844, Shreveport, Bossier Parish, La while family was enroute to Oklahoma IT from Marshall Co, Ms. Second child of Peggy and Simon was Charlotte Burney, b CIT, Ms and m Benjamin Love. James or Jim Allen had a second wife, Betsy Love; d 5 Sep 1837, Toccopola CIT, Pontotoc Co, Ms (her father was Thomas Love and her mother was Sally Colbert). Children of James Allen and Besty Love were Sally, George, Alexander, Louisiana, Susan, Tennessee, Polly, Elizabeth and Samuel. I have a transcript of the settlement of her estate in which she names her children and her step-children. Let me know if this is of help to you.
