This book, by Dan Martini, lists a Henry McKinney Chickasaw,though referred to as a Cherokee, was the son of Polly (Mizell) MCKinney. He married Sally Harris & Margaret Colbert, the latter a daughter of Chickasaw chief Martin Colbert. Margaret was his wife in 1859. The 1847 census lists him as half white, head of a household that consisted of one male over 18, one femals over 16, and one female under 16. He then owned one slave. In 1855 He was living in the Chickasaw District, his household including Sally, Lucy, Albert, and an infant.
He attended the constitutional convention of 1856, was on the 1857-1860 annuity rolls, and died 4/10/1862. Son Albert Thomas, was born in 1854 and lived at Emet in 1900, while
a daughter, Henrietta, was born in 1862 and was married to John W. Wall of Elk by 1900.
