I am doing some additional research on my husband's side of the family. His great-grandmother was a Colbert. I am only able to go back into the Colbert line about 7 generations from the Grandmother.
The information that I have was completed by my husband's gret gramodmother, Helen Moore Colbert Martin. She and Her son, Thomas Colbert Martin, provided me detailed information on the cCOlbert family including, census records, letters from cousins, family bible records, and newspaper clippings.
Here are some of the names that I have, please let me know if any of these Colberts are in your line. I would love to shar whatever information that I have.
