I am also trying to locate a daughter of Chief Colbert named Nancy who married Zech Tharp. Family tradition states that she was the daughter of George and one of the daughters of Chief Doublehead, tho it is not known which one. Zech and Nancy reportedly had numerous children, one daughter named for her mother (Nancy) married a Vandiver, and a son, John, reportedly married an indian maiden who died in childbirth but produced a living child, Mary. Mary was only a couple of years old when John was killed during the civil war and little Mary became an orphan. She was apparantly shifted around from relative to relative and eventually shows up on the 1860 census as the "domestic servant" in the home of the Richard L. Johnson family. If anyone has more accurate information on this, please contact me...thanks
