My g.grandfather was Thomas Colbert, born about 1825 -1828, married Mary Maher( born in the same date range) in Waterford Ireland circa 1850 and then emigrated to Jersey Channel Islands. First child born there in 1852, they gave their marriage place as Waterford. Children- Mary,Margaret, Edmund and Mary Is it possible that there is a connection between Thomas and Michael? Mary Maher died in 1880 but to date I have not ascertained what happened to the other family members named above. Any replies please to anniep@jerseymail.co.uk.
