Shirley, I am also interested in Nuzeka Colbert. I would like to know if he had a dau. or g-dau named Mariah who mar. a George Reed. I have been told that she could have been the dau. of his son Thomas Stewart and possibly a Viola Vann. George was from Washington Co. Al. and was part Choctaw. Their Children were William, Nancy, Joseph, George and Louisa. The story is that Mariah came to Mc Intosh, Wash. Co. on a boat from across the river in Baldwin Co. and that she was nearly blind and almost deaf. These are old stoeiws handed down through the family.
