Hi, I am at a loss as to where my Colbert's originate from in Ireland, all records state "Ireland" as birthplace but i have been unable to trace any area in Ireland.
My ancestors that i am eager to trace are as follows :
Michael Colbert c.?, from Ireland He had a son Patrick Colbert c. 1840/1 Ireland he was married to Mary Fitzgerald / Flynn c. 1835 Ireland (she was a widow of a Thomas Flynn) Patrick and Mary married in Swansea S.Wales in 1867. Their children were John Colbert c. 1868 (swansea) and Edward Colebert c. 1870 (swansea) after 1871 I cannot find them in Swansea, my belief is that they went to live in Ireland, as in the 1890's John returned to Swansea to live and married and had his children in Swansea S.Wales, I am however stuck as to where to look for my Irish ancestors
If you think you may be able to give some advice i would be truly grateful,
