I am looking for any information on my gggrandfather, James L. Coke who was born on April 28, 1863. It is believed that he was from Kentucky and settled in Southern Miss. It has also been said that his family also came from Virginia and changed the last name to Coke from Cocke(cock). It is also said that he taught the first music in Mississippi. His wife was Mamie Baughman(Boeman?)born Nov.26,1867. Any information on either of these people would be greatly appreciated.
