I wonder if your "James L. COKE" b. 4/28/1863 is related to this John COCKE family? This is a long webpage and thereon is both a James Leonard COCKE and a James L. COCKE -- both are born before your James -- perhaps he is a descendant? There is a Jester COCKE, Senior from Virginia who was in Wayne County, Kentucky and then settled in Clark County, Arkansas -- and this webpage about John COCKE hypothesizes that John & Jester might be related, as so many names recur in both their separate families. IF your James L. COKE is, indeed, part of this family, then I suggest that you examine Phil Crowther's extensive website about Charles COCKE. Many people believe that Jester COCKE, Senior was related to Charles COCKE, so Phil has quite a lot of information about five different individuals, all named "Jester COCKE / COX / COXE / COCHES etc. Here is the URL to the webpage where a "James L. COCKE" and a "James Leonard COCKE" are mentioned: http://www.acetipton.net/cox004.html Notify Administrator about this message?
