Hi,

I just discovered this site, and am looking for info on George Coit, who moved to Buffalo NY from Connecticut c.1810. He helped build the Buffalo harbor which led to the city's development. I am married to a direct descendant (and of course our two children are another generation down). We are looking for information on the Coit family, especially in the Buffalo area.

Also, does anyone know where to find a copy of the Coit Genealogy? My wife's uncle has a copy, but he won't part with it.
