COIT, b. 11Mar1785, was a sea captain and d. abt 1818 at sea after sailing from Baltimore. His wife Mary Hall LAWTON d. 19Jul1852 a Bristol, RI. If thay had lived at Bristol I am not sure. One of thier children was married at Bristol. My GGrandmother was a COIT so I have done some research on COIT surname and would be interested in your findings. I will share what I have.
