Thanks for pointing this out, that Cohen sometimes became Coyne. I assume you are referring to the west of Ireland, e.g. Co Galway, Roscommon & Mayo, my family's home area. If you take a Y chromosome DNA test you may find Cain and Kane DNA matches also. The Cain DNA project at www.familytreedna.com has the largest database of Kanes, with a growoing number of Cohens and Coyne who have the same DNA as the Kanes.
