Bill Cohen, 80, of Lemon Grove, CA, passed away January 5, 2008 in Lemon Grove.
He was born June 28, 1927 to William Cohen and Christine Lurrer in Brooklyn, NY. He married Pamela Finias on October 23, 1981 in Las Vegas, NV.
He was a retired District Sales Manager for Bowman Distribution. He was a member of Cathedral City Citizens on Patrol (COPS); Cathedral City Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP); Cathedral City Mountain Conservancy; Built, flew and competed in the Southern California Antique Model Plane Society (SCAMPS); the Society of Antique Modelers (SAM); the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) and very actively involved in civic affairs and events of Cathedral City. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1945 through 1952 as a BM2 Airframe mechanic.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela Paula Finias of Lemon Grove, CA; his daughter, Cheryl Cohen of San Diego, CA; his sons, John Finias of Cathedral City, CA, Eric Finias of Las Vegas, NV, and Bruce Cohen of San Diego, CA; 3 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his son, Steven Cohen. Services are private.
