A.E. Cohen (b 1845, d 1878 in Montreal) and wife Florinda Miller (b 1852 in Toronto or England, d 1924 in Toronto). His parents are currently unknown. Birth place is also unknown. He had a brother living in Winnipeg and had a cigar store in the Winnipeg hotel.
Florinda's parents were Alexander and Rachel Joel(?) Miller.
Children of A.E. and Florinda were:
Bernard b 1874 in Montreal, d 1939 in Calif.
Joel (no other info except he had a daughter ADELAIDE COHEN-SCHACTMAN).
Adelaide (no other info)
Hyrum (no other info)
I am interested in any info on this family. Adelaide COHEN SCHACTMAN lived and died in Queens, NY. I believe she died in the 1970's. I will check with my dad if you think this is the same family. He has a copy of her death certif or will. Adelaide was my dad's maternal aunt.
Bernard Cohen was involved with the Yukon Goldrush. He wrote several letters to his mother while traveling across Canada and up into Dawson YT.
