Hi, I'm descended from Benjamin Cohee, Jr. who immigrated to Clinton County, Indiana approximately 1830 (I'm at work and do not have my paperwork with me). Anyway, my lines as far as I know have always pronounced the name Co-HEE. However, several years ago I went to the Cohee family reunion in Frankfort, Indiana and many were pronouncing the name as "Coy". I think the spelling change in the name to Cohea falls more in line with how my family always pronounced the name.
Carolyn
