Pronunciation of the surname Cohee

Hi. My name is Sue.

I am wondering how the surname Cohee is pronounced. Is it Co-He or could it be Coo--ee?

I am looking for my husband's g-grandmother's parents.
Her name was Mary Catherine Cowee (as Coo-ee). Could the name have changed through time/people?

She was most likely born 1849 in Washington Co, Ohio. She married Abraham B Schlotterbeck in Washington Co, Ohio (born 1849 Ohio).

Any help you can give me on pronunciation of the Cohee name and if it could possibly connect with "Cowee" will be appreciated. Thank you Sue
