Obituary from the Rushville Republican: James W. Cohee, 75, retired railroad maintenance employee, passed away at 11:30 Tuesday at the home of his brother, Lewis C. Cohee, 420 North Sexton Street. He had been ill two weeks. His home was 956 West Third Street. Born at Fountaintown, he was the son of Benjamin F. and Eliza Dunwitty Cohee. He was a member of the Methodist Church at Fountaintown and had resided in Rushville since 1901. His wife Daisy, preceded him in death in 1939. He leaves one daughter, Mrs. William Hendrix of near Connersville; one sister, Mrs. Ed Levi of Rushville; three brothers, Lewis C. at whose home he died, Harvey, also of this city, and Thomas of Indianapolis; twelve grandchildren and two great grandchildren. At 2 o'clock Friday afternoon, funeral services will be held at the Moster Mortuary with the Rev. Charles V. Reeder in Charge. Interment will follow in East Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary beginning Thursday morning. Note: The name of Hendrix was misspelled in the newspaper. Should be Hendricks. Notify Administrator about this message?
