My connection to the Cohee family in Ohio and Indiana is through my ggg-aunt Roseann AMANNS, born 28 Dec 1843 in western Cincinnati, Hamilton County OH as a daughter of George Amanns and Sarah Brown. She married 6 Sep 1860 IN to Nathaniel COHEE, born Dec 1839 in Ohio (probably Butler County) as a son of William and Eliza Cohee. The Cohees moved to Bartholomew County IN in the mid-1850s. Also, Nathaniel was in the Civil War (H-12-IN-Inf) as was his brother Isaac (A-12-IN-Inf).
