Daryl; I've got quite a bit of stuff on the Cohea family. Unfortunaly, it starts with Richard. I know he was b. in Talbot Co., MD in 1790. I suspect his father was James Cohee. I found a James Cowe in the 1790 census of Dorchester Co. which is right next to Talbot Co. I've heard the story that Richard was at the Battle of New Orleans, but haven't found military evidence to support this. He was discharged from the army 15 months before the battle was fought.
I also have info on the Rentfro/Hensley family. I'd be glad to share what I have.
Bob Reese
