I would say that from what I have found that a James Coghill md to Mary ? may have been the first Coghill in va.There are several Powell's that are related to the Coghill line .This Powell line I have that a Wm Powell and John Holt came over aboard The Love ship in 1623 since the Powell line md several Holts later ,I feel this may be part of the line of Powell's that md Coghill's but have no positive proof .The Wm was 19 and JOhn Holt was 18 .I have since tried to find the ship's list bk at the library ,and have not come across this again.When I do I will list resource.
