I was reading through this Genforum and noticed your note about Mary/Margaret (sisters) who married a John Powell. It has been my experience of looking at names that most times Mary and Margaret were interchangeable - it might be that not two women - Mary and Margaret - both married a Powell but this Mary and Margaret are just one person. It just seems strange that 2 women would be marrying the same man - unless of course one of them died and he then married the sister. If I had to cast a vote - it would be Mary and Margaret are one and the same. But then what do I know. I'm just starting the Coghill research. I have a Susannah Coghill (dates or parents not known) perhaps marrying a John Rucker in culpeper County, Va. John's dates are b. ca. 1701 in most possibly Essex Cty., Va. married in Culpeper and dies before Jan 28, 1742 in Orange Cty. Va. I would appreciate any help on Susannah Coghill's parents. I also would like to know the progenitor in this family. I hope you can help me
