David, I am descended from James Coghill, two of his daughters, Mary and Margaret married John Powell I. You will find the marriages in "Indexes to Marriages of Old Rappannoch & Essex Counties of VA" pg 192. James Coghill's will is found Will Bk 6, pg 59 dated Oct 5, 1684, proved 1685 Old Rappahannoch Co VA. In same Co BK 1(1692-5) og 241 dated Nov 14, 1691, John and Margaret Powell sell to John Battaile 300 acres that was willed to his two daughters Mary and Margaret Coghill.
