John Coghill b.Caithness/Orkney ca. 1850

I am looking for any information regarding Captain John Coghill, born circa 1850 in Scotland. I am hoping to find any information on the history of his family, which I believe
was from the Caithness or Orkney regions of Scotland. I do know that he was a well known merchant in Iceland, who bought and traded Icelandic sheep/and horses for export to Scotland in the mid 1870's.The company he was commissioned by was called Slimons, from Leith. Any info regarding this fellow would be greatly appreciated.
