Ava I am sorry I put the dates in wrong I didn't realize it until I read your message then I went back and checked. The message should have read.
The first mention of the surname Coghill in America is Thomas Coghill in Va. wife Susanna m. about 1640 England. I believe these are the parents of the first James Coghill b. abt 1640. He was born shortly after or during the trip from England.
