I am trying to find info on the parents of Capt. Charles J. Coggin, b. 1832 Vermont - d. July 12, 1917 in Florida.
Married a Frances "Fannie" Rose Bundy, b. Aug 1833 in Canada.
1910 Census states they had 7 children, 4 living.
Those that lived past childhood are:
(1)Ida Violet (Coggin) Bennett b. 20 FEB 1826 d. 14 FEB 1915
(2)Emma Jane Coggin b. 1859 d. aft 1900
(3)Daniel Ira Coggin b. 1868 d. 23 June 1957 (This is the line I am researching)
(4)Claire Coggin b. 1877 d. aft 1900
Capt Charles served in the Union army during the Civil War in the Ohio 99th Infantry. He was a railroad engineer before that in Ohio.
I am looking to find information on when he moved from Vermont to Ohio and who his parents are. Thank you!
