Carla:
Clara L. Young's father was James Young born abt. 1820 in Canada. Her mother was Elizabeth LNU, born abt 1823 Ohio. I traced Clara's family in the census from the info that her father was born in Canada. I went back to 1860 KS. It appears that James Young remarried by 1880 to another Elizabeth b. abt 1836 in TN. She had been married before, looks like twice, to a Brown and McKuigie? as there were two Brown step-children and 2 McKuigie? step-children living in the HH.
James Young and 1st Elizabeth had:
Lydia b. 1842 IN
John E. b. 1844 IN
William b. 1845 IN
Emly C. b. 1856 IN
Cornelia M. b. 1858 IN
Samuel, b. 1859 WI
Clara L., b. 1864 IA
Franklyn (maybe 2nd. Elizabeth's son?)b. 1868 IA
I didn't go further than 1880 for James Young so don't know if he and Elizabeth 2nd. had children.
I have some full dates but the death dates I gave you before were from the gravestones at findagrave. The marriage dates I gave you were estimates based on census.
In the 1900 census Clara Young Koger said she had 2 of 2 children living so I assume that's all she had. 1910 census she didn't say how many children living or dead but Harvey age 23 was living with them(George and Clara Koger).
I have George Koger's parents as John and Louisa unknown both from KY but I got this from the 1880 census.
Georga Pearl Koger m. William Isaac Keen Oct 12, 1898 Cherokee Nation Indian Territory. William Isaac Keen b. July 7, 1878 TN, d. Feb 21, 1955 Washington
William Isaac Keen's mother was Loves Caroline Kincheloe b. Washington Co. TN and I am related to her. That is how I got into researching the Koger's and Young's. I am not related to them.
I've got more and will sent it to your email. Taking too long to type here.
