I know that John Cogdell and two sons came over here and landed in New Bern, N.C. in 1710. No indication as to were exactly they originated They were among the ones who founded New Bern. I lived there for about a year and done a bit of work in the library there, I have given most all of the info to my father of which has been doing research on the Cogdells for many years. You may contact him by email: cogsdell2@home.com "Cog" to ya!
