you should receive my emial soon
i have not found his 1870 yet either and as that census is difficult finding people i suspect he will not be listed but really does not matter
1861 i have henry on a tax list in mont co and then in 1867 he was in howell co mo. apparently he moved into ark soon after but we don't know where (he may not have been in mont co) and then in 1880 he was in tx. the texas records are strange as he only pops up for a year or two and then disappears for 8-10 yrs and pops up again for a year in 1890 beofre finally moving to mont co. it is possible he was in mont in the early 1870's as at least one son seemed to live there so seem slikely whole family was there as well
i am missing the 1870's or 1880's tax lists which i can't find but believe one of them stated andrew j cogburn had moved to texas so there was a long time connection to texas from soemtime about 1873 to 1895 or so with at least some of the family. i was told some of henry sons had robbed a bank in eiother fannin or hunt co some time in the 1880's but i have no further information on that.
found a source for george w cogburn murder trial which recounts the appeals and fianl disposition of that matter
anyway still working on these guys
