ray; have realy research the notes on henry.....the 1850 census states that he was born of n.c.....and i have reorder the census...want to double-check john place of birth and the elender(miss-spell / dont want get up and check)to see if it male or female...old notes it was a female..have read a lot of letters of return requests and decited that i need a old-old map of va.before n.c. and s.c.was formed....i found a reading on john 1745 that was very possiable he wason his home-place before 1765..he gived money to a church of his dist in s.c...called rock creek church...and it mention to often by reports of his off-springs to over look the fact...i toke my finger and try to walk the trail of land records from va to tenn and was surprised...the state of ga.was at one time the carolina...johnthan has records in dist of monongalia dist va.and his son james coburn/colbourn ...you may already have this information;....abstract of va land-patents and grants pg. 1748 a john dobikin and michael stump were suries with jonathan and james colourn i have seen the name of michael more than once...and i was excited about the name michael that you came up with...it is good information...i'am trying to work with that and see how it connests ,michael wasnt in nc censusunless under diff.nick-name as so many does!! the jamescoburn-jonathan of monongalia va head -count census and robert cockburn of orange dist va and john cockburn of precinch hanover co va all in the count 1782 then the 1790 census ready get you going....of course the george was the head count also/1790 census...i will busy this week...and i have to many posts on the forum???dora
