The Gresham who died in Twiggs County was my gggggrandfather. He had two sons for certain, Willis 1778-1850 and Thomas Nathan 1790 -ca 1872 (my line). John of Washington County seems a good bet to be a third son. Gresham apparently came from Bertie County NC and before that from Nansemond County, VA. He may be the son of William and Mary Pamelia Cofield of Nansemond County, who had a son Gresham and other sons William, Willis, Thomas, and Slater.
