I too am a gr gr grandson of Coleman Hendersn Coffman. His son David F Marion Coffman was my gr grandfather. They lived in Giles county TN then moved to Perry county TN and then to W TN into Gibson county in the early 1900's. My gr grandfather David F M Coffman died in 1925. My Father just died in May of this year at the age of 88. He remembered his grandfather very well. Dad had several older cousins who have recently passed that were in their 90's. I think there were so many children in the Coleman H Coffman family. they did well to survive(at least my clan). There are several Cofman cousins and family who live in Gibson county still. We have a Coffman reunion the 2nd Sunday in September each year, You are welcome to join us.
I have never seen a photo of Coleman Coffman but sure would like to see one! I have several pictures of David F Marion Coffman. I know some of the Seabern Coffman family; especially a Brenda Carroll who is the wife of a descendant of Seabern.
As an aside both of my grandmothers were Coffman/Koffmans.
I have an old court document from Greene county or Jefferson one, cant rememebr at the moment. In the papers Harmon Coffman(David Sr. and his son Jr) are listed as going on a bond for Daniel Koffman(cousin,and my gr gr gr gr grandfather.
I am curious as to how you relate to the Coleman Coffman line. Hope to hear from you.
