I do not know about the people in VA, but I do know that the counties you are talking about in PA are the bottom border. Several states bump into them as they go straight across. New Jersey, Maryland, West Virginia, Ohio. The path taken by many Germans is to come in from Baltimore and go north into the bottom edge counties in PA. Thanks.
I am trying to locate my grgrandmother, Catherine Coffman. I am told she was from Lycoming Co., Williamsport, PA. DOB is unknown, but my grandfather, Philip Zimmerman, was born in 1888. His father was Joseph Zimmerman and he was an only child, supposedly. My grandfather's death notice from the funeral home (he died in 1968)reports he was born in Snow Shoe, PA, which is Centre Co., PA. Can you share any info? BS
