Thank you No, of course not. That just popped into my head! As far as help, what state do you live in? I am in Allen,Tx. I have a dead end on my mothers side. Kendigs (I have been told there are 42 spellings of that name and I have only verified 6 or so. Kendig, Kendigh, Kendrick (in a census) Kindig. That's all I recall at the moment. I am presently looking for Henry Kendig/Kindig died in Baltimore in 1850, wife Catherine. Can't find anyshing else. I would also like to know the connection I must have in some way with the Coffins. The way I came by that copy was that we visited my wife's 88 year old Aunt (her mom's sister) in Cols last year. This was shortly after the passing of her 92(?) yr old husband. She found it a week before we got there. He had it with a few remnants of the genealogy that he did for over 50yrs the hard way. All by hand. Never used a computer. He had previously turned over all but the family of his daughter's husband (the Dye's) which he gave to them. I have tried several times to 'borrow' he info but they are always to busy to 'dig' it out. They don't have an interest in it. Dave and I our connected with a Dye - Petty marriage in W Va but I don't know which one. They ARE busy, but I don't really think they are that busy. When Roger Gove sent me his work, he said it was because I was the only one in the family with an interest. Sorry, I didn't mean to get going on all of that. But there had to be a reason that he had it. His wife said she never got involved so she had no idea, but 'thought' he had mentioned it to her at some point in time. All of this jsut to explain why I think I may have a 'connection' to the Coffin family. Allen, TX is near Dallas. Let me know if there is some way I can help you in addition to the 'Irene' intro. Even if we can't, we can still keep in touch. What states are you mainly involved with? Maybe we will need to share our info and see if we do have a connection. I have a bit over 20,000 people in my file. Majority, my family, but that includes everything i have on both my minenand my wife's. Sure am glad I came up with that address for you!
