1. The first in your Coffin line in this country is Tristram Coffin,1605-1681 of Brixton, England. He came here in 1642 and setled in Newbury and then Nantucket. You can find out all about him on the net so I am not going to write the whole history for you. His wifes name was Dionis.

2. Next in your line and mine is Tristrram Coffin Jr. 1632-1704 who married Judith Greenleaf daughter of Edmund Greenleaf of Newbury, MA

3. Stephen Coffin 1665-1725 and Sarah Atkinson dau of
John Atkinson and Sarah Myrick
4. Stephen Coffin 1698-1734 and Sarah Boardman
5. Amos Coffin 1723-1811 and Sarah Hooke 1729-1797
6 Elizabeth Coffin 1753-1829 and
Joseph Towle 4
3 Amos Towle 1711-1757 and Hannah Drake
2 Joseph Towle 1669-1757 and Mary Ward
1. Philip Towle 1633-1919 and Isabella
Austin Englalnd to NH

I am not giving you all the details because they are very easy to find the Coffins are everywhere on the net. but if you get stuck...you eamil me and I will answer your questions, I do have the information but I really think that you would benifit more by looking up some on your own. Can you use google with Webtv? Type in The name you want with genealogy after it and you will be overwhelmed with information.
Don't think of me as a mean old lady keeping information from you, I honistly will help you more if you need it, but I do not want to do all the work for you. You learn more by looking than you do when it is handed to you. I started over 40 years ago dear and there was no such thing as the internet. Today it is so easy people become name collectors and still know nothing about where they came from or any of the history that is your life story. So lets work a deal...you do some research and email me when you get stuck and I promise to help you...I expect great things from you so tell me what you find with all these new names to get you going. Keep me posted at home my email is murraygen@yahoo.com

I have the Atkinsin line too:
1 John Atkinson 1599- ____and Love__________1597-
2 John Atkinson and Sarah Myrick
3 Sarah Atkinson and Strphen Coffin
4 See # 3 above under Coffin

My grandmother a Sara G. Coffin direct line back to Tristram & Dionis our branches split at #4 My 4 Is Amos b. 1702, brother of Stephen b. 1698 Mine were here in Maine as well but they settled in Freeport, Maine.
And one more thing DO NOT spend that money on the book, I can give you what you need free....I sunk a fortune into books because I had to with no internet, and for what about three lines in a book that I needed for my line....It is just not worth it, trust me.
Sara
