I came across this census record in my research this week. I believe this is your Ida COFFIN and her mother. it appears her mother's name was Sarah and her mother may have had a sister named Mattie. Maybe it will provide a lead for you:

Sarah COFFIN sisterL female divorced white age 40 b. OH
Ida COFFIN niece female single white age 18 b. IA
I must apologize. This census has birthplaces of parents, but I overlooked recording them. You should probably look up the original yourself. Also don't forget to check alternative spellings of SEYMOUR in your search.
