The death record of my ggrandfather, William Wesley Brown shows that his parents were Dicy Coffield and Staten Brown.
I have not found Staten Brown to be a head of household in 1820 and the 1830 census shows Staten Brown with 1 adult female and 6 children in the home. One of these children is over 10 years old and may be one of Dicy Coffields children.
