At least 6 of the Coffield names listed are children of John Coffield of Chowan Co., NC, and his wife Esther Saunders of Perquimans Co, NC.They were married 26 Jan 1819. John died in 1839 and Esther in 1867; both in Chowan Co.
Do notations in the Bible suggest that it was the family bible of John William Coffield and his wife Margaret Simpson? My records indicate William Henderson Coffield was the son of J. W. and Margaret Simpson Coffield.
The Josiah Coffield (listed as marrying Nancy Perry) is my greatgrandfather.
I have some further information on this family and would like to exchange information of mutual interest.
