Judy, found the following in the NC Genological Society Journal, Feb 1977, Miscellaneous Papers on Bertie County Revolutionary War.

"Coffield, Benjamin. Power of attorney, 1 August 1821, Jethro Coffield, Frederick Coffield, Benjamin Coffield & Christian Laseter, Hiers at Law of "Benjamin Coffield Late a Adjatant in the 6th Rege of the North Carolina Line in the Revolutionary War" appoint James Freman their attorney to receive a land warrant from the Secretary of State that is due said Benjamin Coffield, deceased, for his said military services. /s/ Jethro Coffield, Frederick Coffield, Benjamin Coffield, Christian (x) Laseter Witnesses: Henry (x) Todd, Barth Castellow (C.R. 10.911.1, Box 4-Rev War Papers)"

No mention of Benjamin's son Luke here, hope the other names mentioned prove useful.
