I am looking for information on a Samuel Caffield that is listed in Burlington Twp. Licking Co. Oh on the 1820 census. He is listed in the 60 - 70 age group, which would put him born between 1760 & 1770. His wife is listed in the same age group. Also listed with them is a woman in the 80 - 90 age group, possibly a mother to one of them.
I believe this Samuel is a Coffield. Also in the same county, but in Bennington Twp. is a Samuel Coffield in the 20 - 30 age group. He was married in Licking Co. in 1824 and on the 1850 census it states he was born in Virginia.
Is this 2nd Samuel a son of the 1st Samuel?
Any information on this family would be appreciared. Thanks for any you can provide.
