Just received the following from a fellow member of F-A-G forum (www.findagrave.com):

FOREST GROVE, TEXAS (Collin County). Forest Grove is on Farm Road 1378 six miles south of McKinney in south central Collin County. It was settled about 1858 on White Rock Creek and served as a church and school community for area farmers. Its population was reported as twenty in 1990.

BIBLIOGRAPHY: Roy Franklin Hall and Helen Gibbard Hall, Collin County: Pioneering in North Texas (Quanah, Texas: Nortex, 1975).

Another volunteer who lives in Plano will see if she can locate his grave in the Pecan Grove Cemetery, McKinney or on a cemetery in Forest Grove. Will keep you updated.
