Hi Sherry, I suppose that I've looked at several hundred WW1 draft cards for Coffey men, and for those that married Coffey women, and found very few that signed with an "X". Some signatures were a bit ragged, but they were in their handwriting. At the same time however, many birth years given in the 1900 census do not match those given on the draft registration cards. I am really at a loss as to which ones are accurate. Our 18th century ancestors weren't as illiterate and many people believe. I have a cousin who lives near McKinney, and I've been trying to talk him into taking photos for me. But, he's too busy playing golf :-) This is probably the Forest Grove community where the cemetery is located. http://www.lat-long.com/ShowDetail-29762-Texas-Forest_Grove.html Jack Notify Administrator about this message?
