Thanks Jack. From the site you sent me to on Draft cards:

"Birth Information
Birth dates are generally quite accurate, based on test samples -- except for those of illiterate men."

I take it from the background of the Coffey's, he was not illiterate, in fact his handwriting is excellent, plus he is a clerk in the local tax office.

June 5, 1917
Name: Jesse Walford Coffey
City: Not Stated
County: Collin
State: Texas
Birthplace: Texas;United States of America
Birth Date: 23 Jul 1895
Race: Caucasian (White)
Roll: 1952405
DraftBoard: 1
Age:

Occupation: Clerk Assessor's Office, Tax Assessor

Nearest Relative:

Height/Build: Slender

Color of Eyes/Hair: Blue/Blonde

Signature: View Image

Source Citation: Registration Location: Collin County, Texas; Roll: 1952405; Draft Board: 1.

From looking at his handwriting, it is possible the "a" is an "o" in Wolford, I know from recent research, is a family name.

I have been looking for the Forest Grove Community, but I have not been able to verify which one listed.

My mother was born in the Lovejoy Community in 1928 and that community is little more than a sign on the road in McKinney, now. I guess it is surely the same with Forest Grove.

Thanks again
