I may have a shot in the dark for you, but sometimes they work out. I have an ancestor Phinehas Coffey who was born 7 Aug 1848 in Binbrook, Wentworth, Ontario. When he died on 11 Aug 1917 his obituary mentioned that he was survived by a brother J.T. Coffey of Chicago. This J.T. may or may not be related to your Walter. Just thought I'd let you know. Unfortunately I am at a dead end with Phinehas so if this turns out to be your guy, I can't help you anymore.
