I know this was an old message but I hope you are still searching. I have a christopher Coffey married to Henrietta in Weymouth in 1866, they had a son George H Coffey in Poona in India in 1871. Christopher must have died before 1876 because Henrietta remarried in 1876. In the 1881 census she and the boy are in Portsea with new husband Simon Hayward. I have a feeling that the Coffey line came from Ireland, thats all I have to go on but I lose track of young George after 1881. Henrietta was easier because she became a widow again and then married my grandfather Henry Coombs. It has always intrigued me what happened to George and where the Coffey line came from because it might help me find where Henrietta was born.
