My grandmother Coffey married George H. Bartlett in Pontotoc Co., OK in 1907. She was from Boone Co., AR; after finishing school at Bellefonte (so. of Harrison) she went to Mills Co., TX. There is a tale that a brother, Oscar Floyd Coffey, was shot to death on the street or sidewalk in Sulphur, OK, in the 'teens sometime. I don't know for sure what my grandmother C. was doing in Pontotoc Co. Will ask my mom if she remembers.
